Daily

• Clean all vacuum lines and solids collectors in each operatory.

• Replenish developer and fixer solution in X-Ray processor or manual tank.

• Lubricate handpieces. Remove burs, clean and lubricate prophy angles and contra angles.

• Check solution or water in sterilizer.

• Turn off nitrous oxide and oxygen tanks.

• Turn off vacuum and compressor.

• Clean nitrous oxide nasal inhaler hoods after every use (do not use alcohol).

• Make sure tubing of cavitron is not kinked.

• Turn off main water valves (solenoid) at night to prevent possible flooding.

Weekly

• Clean X-Ray processor transports.

• Replaced ultrasonic cleaner solutions.

• Clean main suction canister.

• Check oil level in compressor.

• Check air dryer for desiccant.

• Clean sterilizer according to manufacturer's instructions.

• Check compressor tank for moisture.

• Clean dental light (make sure it is cool before touching).

• Alternate suction pumps (if applicable).

Monthly

• Check nitrous oxide safety level indicators.

• Check nitrous oxide unit, lines, hoses, and masks for leakage.

• Check air pressure to all handpieces.

• Clean panoramic cassettes with intensifying screen cleaner.

• Check sterilizer with spore test indicator.

• Check master water filter element.

• Clean plaster trap.

Semi- Annually

• Replace the coalescing & intake filters on air compressor.

• Lube all moving parts of dental lights & dental chairs.

• Check mercury vapour safety levels.

Annually

• Have the X-Ray equipment inspected by Radiation Assurance technician.

• Schedule preventative maintenance check on all equipment by Global Dental Service & Sales technician.
